So there is a double party animal weekend?
If not, April Fools.
If so, I'm a fool.
If it's a joke, lacing the news with Gaile Gray's departure is the perfect way to make us all feel perfectly foolish. Who's there to get mad at?
If there is, how do you guys who honestly bought your titles feel?
Personally, I wish I had held on to those fireworks cause maybe I could've finally afforded a consumable title. I only sold them when I heard there wouldn't be and realized I couldn't.

Personally i feel like the Mini polar bear episode again. During Cathan new year it was asked if there will be a double party animal weekend, ans typical responce of: "I asked Devs and a double party animal weekend probably is not going to happen". And Behold, a weekend where you get double party animal points, not exactly the same i know, but close enough.

Yes.
We get that.
And Gaile said no, there is no party animal weekend. Also scoffed at us for looking in .dat.
Sucks that she's leaving, but this had better be a joke.

Also, anybody who read the chat logs of one of Gaile's visits back in February (they were posted here on the Guru forums) would have seen this from the Frog:
"There is word on the wind that there is yet more to come in relation to the Party Animal title acquisition"
"The Frog advises that one may not wish to consume all party items at this time"
"The Frog directly inquired 'weekend' and was not answered in the affirmative. The Frog suspects something else. Something different"

Really lost track on how many times Gaile and/or the frog said to hold onto your stuff O_o
I mean, I sold mine because money >>>> title, but it shouldn't be *too* hard to farm drops and go to events and blast away towards it. The stuff will be earned via collectors the way Halloween+Wintersday work, if I'm reading it correctly... plus dropping from monsters.
Just... QQ moar, because at the end of the day it's just a bit of pixels under your name.

So, does that mean Party Animal items are gonna start creeping towards double their value up to this weekend?

Actually, not a bad idea... they could double the radius around you in which the fog is cleared. Would save a hell of a lot of wall hugging.

I think a party point buff, timed to coincide with the 3 hourly visits, is a great idea and I hope they extend it to all events. At least players will be clicking through their fireworks at an appropriate time, instead of just disposing of them for the title.

The question is - is it a one-time opportunity? Or other big festivals will also use this doubling effect in their finales. That would make a lot of sense, it would seriously encourage people to spam fireworks at the festival time, to add a lot to the events atmosphere. For some reason this Canthan New Year didn't use that, even thoutgh it was expected, anticipated and would perfectly fit that event.
